Barn. c 1500 core with renewed C20 roof construction. Lias stone walls. Plain
tile roof with gable ends. Stone gable copings with crocketed finials. Through
Barn doors with one projecting pier at left hand side, carrying pentice tile roof.
Right hand pier has gone owing to brick extension to barn in form of cow-sheds.
Pointed arch doorway, straight-chamfered, towards right end of south wall. Plank
door with ornamental hinges. Lozenge pattern of square dovecote holes with ledges.
Stone buttresses to west gable wall, with set offs. Interior: raised cruck-posts,
survive bedded in the wall by the barn doors. Roof construction 1930's replacement,
tie-beam with king posts and diagonal struts. "RCHM, Dorset I", p 238 (2).
