Formerly known as: No.56 CRIB STREET.
House, formerly public house. Mid C19. Yellow brick, now
painted facing Crib Street at left, over cement rendered
plinth, hipped Welsh slated roof, above wooden eaves cornice.
2 storeys. One window, ground and first floor, to Crib Street,
main facade on north facing Francis Road. Full height end
pilasters, and slightly projecting centre, with doorway. 1:1:1
sash windows, with glazing bars in reveals under flat arches.
2 fold half glazed 2 flush panel door under semicircular dummy
fanlight. From mid C19, pre-1851, this was The White Horse
Public House, probably built by its first owner, John Francis,
after whom Francis Road was subsequently named.
