Clock Tower. Dated 1911. By Edmund Kirby. Portland stone.
Stepped base then rusticated plinth with low relief coats of
arms, and lions at angles. Doric fluted shaft above with
triglyph frieze and modillion cornice below the clock itself
which is flanked by volutes and has ribbed cap with urn and
ball finial. Narrow doorway giving access to internal
staircase in one face of shaft, and on the other, an
inscription recording the erection of the tower by public
subscription as memorial to King Edward.
