II
Presbytery. 1835-1837 Probably M.E.Hadfield. Built as an
integral part of St Werburgh's Church (q.v. ref 13/69), to
which it is attached. Pink sandstone ashlar rusticated to
ground with Welsh slate roof. 2-storeyed with 2-room
double-depth plan with central entrance hall. Symmetrical
3-window range with 6-panelled door with lozenge overlight in
architrave with incised panels. Former sash windows all
renewed in original openings. Left return with end stack
breaking gable coping, and blind window openings.
