Roman Catholic Church. 1835-37, possibly by M.E. Hadfield.
Pink sandstone ashlar, rusticated to basement, with Welsh
slate roof. Liturgical west front is pedimented with full
height pilasters at angles, and cross on pediment apex. Flat
projecting porch with doorway in its south wall. 5-bay nave,
with windows in flat entablatures with scrolled brackets on
north wall. Projecting confessional booths against north wall.
Interior renewed completely, late C20. The presbytery is
separately listed (ref 13/70).
