Cemetery gates and lodges. 1889. Coursed and squared sandstone
with Welsh slate roofs. Main gate with segmental overarch
beneath steep gable flanked by arched side gates with turrets
to parapet over. Cast-iron gates. Principal lodge to left: 2
storeyed, L-plan with tower and spire in angle, and projecting
gabled porch, mullioned and transomed windows, with oriel
window in gable facing street. Coped gables, and axial stacks.
Tower has narrow stair windows and balconette beneath clock
stage. Gabletted parapet to spirelet above. Right-hand lodge
in similar, though less ornate, style with wide gabled dormer
to left and central gabled porch. Paired 2-pane sash windows,
some with transoms, and canted bay window in gable end.
