House, now office. c1800 incorporating earlier elements,
extensively altered in, and with large rear addition of, late
C20. Brick with earlier timber-framing; parapeted roof. 2
storeys; symmetrical 3-window range with single-window end
breaking back to left end. Entrance has plain doorcase and
fanlight with radial glazing bars over 6-fielded-panel door;
entrance to left end in former carriage entrance has similar
details and 6-panel door; details probably mostly C20. Two C20
small-paned bow windows with friezes. 1st floor has windows
with sills and segmental-heads; 2 windows with pilasters,
friezes and cornices flank window with architrave; left end
window has rubbed brick flat arch; all have 12-pane sashes.
C20 plain coped parapet with platt band replaces 2nd floor.
Right return has some elements of timber framing; left return
has substantial timber framing of 2-storeyed building with
jettied upper floor. INTERIOR: chamfered beams; ground floor
much altered; 1st floor has timber-framed cross wall. A much
altered building which retains features of interest.
