GV II

House. Early C18, or possibly earlier, originally of 5 bays
but extended by 2 bays early in C20. Brown brick with red
brick dressings on stone rubble plinth with galleting.
Half-hipped tiled roof with brick chimneystacks. 2 paralled
ranges, 2 storeys and attics, 7 windows. Deep wooden modillion
eaves cornice. 2 flat roofed dormers. Windows are mainly
12-paned sashes by 20 paned above doorcase and to end windows.
Moulded brick aprons to 1st floor windows, moulded brick
cornices and rubbed brick ogee-shaped arches to ground floor
windows. Doorcase in 3rd bay from left has brick panel flanked
by console brackets, surround with keystone and early C20 door
with rectangular fanlight and 4 fielded panels. 1 stone step.
Attached forecourt spear railings. Side elevation has 1 triple
cambered casement.
