House, formerly an inn. Mid C17 with C18 and C19 additions and
alterations. Coursed gritstone with ashlar dressings, quoins,
coped gables with plain kneelers and ball finials to the west,
2 ridge stacks, and a Welsh slate roof. L-plan house, with C17
range gable-on to street. North elevation 2 storeys, 4 bays,
with gabled bay to west end. Gable has quoined doorway to east
side with quoined surround, heavy lintel, and plain planked
door. Above the door, one figure on a moulded base. To the
west stacked windows to ground and first floor levels, that on
the ground floor of 2 lights in a plain surround, that to the
first floor a 3-light mullioned window. Single-light C17
window to gable apex. Small single-storey lean-to on west
side, with stone slated roof. 3 bays to east with stone-framed
C19 windows with C20 frames, and garage doors at east end.
