and ornamental cresting to ridge of main range and gabled dormers of right return.
Basic L-plan with right return continuing to north to form projecting range. 2
storeys and attic with chamfered granite plinth and floor band. 9-window front,
8-paned horned sashes in moulded surrounds, those to first floor with labels.
Central entrance; C20 glazed double doors under C18 semi-circular wooden hood with
scrolled brackets. Rendered ridge stack with recessed blind panels to right.
Parallel rear range has 3 two-light cinquefoil-headed windows with cavetto-moulded
king mullions forming large 6-light window with label. Recessed narrow segmental-
headed window above to left and tall window with Y-tracery lighting staircase.
Detached former wine cellar is linked to projecting range (continuation of right
return). Courtyard side of right return has cavetto-moulded granite mullion windows
to both floors, including large 6-light one with king mullions to left of centre
on ground floor. Most have leaded latticed casements, some with L-hinges. Bell

casements, in middle of roof slope. Late C19 single-storey service range with
prominent flat-roofed lantern projects at right-angles to left. Interior: Full
inspection not possible at time of resurvey (January 1988). Has late C17 framed
newel staircase with turned balusters to open string, moulded handrail and square

probably also Victorian C19 cast-iron fireplaces to attics.
