Farmhouse, now house. Early C18 with later additions and alterations. Roughly
coursed slate-stone rubble; slate roof. 2 storeys. 3-window front; C20 casements
in C19 style, directly below eaves to first floor and with wood lintel on each
side of roughly central half-glazed door under flat-roofed brick porch. Stepped
integral end stack to right and similar external end stack to left,both with
brick tops and slate drips relating to former thatch roof. Former farmbuilding
attached to right gable end and outbuilding with corrugated iron roof attached
to left gable end. 2-storey outshut to rear has cob to centre on first floor.
Interior: Left ground floor room has inglenook fireplace with cloam ovens to
left and right, moulded wood lintel with ogee stops. So called 'coffin trap'
in ceiling. Plank doors throughout collar truss roof (hatched until c1940) in
6 bays visible in roof space.
