Former use unknown, now offices with C15 undercrofts. offices:- Early C19.
Red brick, plinth and pantile roof. 3 storeys plus semi-basement. 2 bays.
The right-hand bay contains the door having C20 glazing and a semi-circular
fanlight with Adam tracery. Panelled pilasters with scrolls supporting an
open pediment. Sash windows with glazing bars, rubbed brick flat arches and
moulded timber surrounds. Moulded box cornice. Undercrofts:- Brick. 2
undercrofts with pointed barrel-vault profile parallel to the street line and
having curious relationship with each other and the adjoining undercroft
beneath No. 9 Redwell Street. The east undercroft is partly destroyed by C19
walls. The west undercroft has blocked door openings in the south and west
walls and a lighting niche. The building is graded II* because of the under-
crofts which form part of an important group within the City Walls.
