Two cottages and clinic, formerly shop with attached house at right hand.
c. Early C19. Ashlar stone walls. Slateroof with stone gable-coping at
right hand. Brick stacks at centre and right gable. 2 storeys. 6 windows,
shop-front at left-centre with 2 bows with renewed canted bays, sashes with
glazing-bars. Continuous moulded wood cornice joining the 2 bows. New
stone work between bows blacking a former doorway. Remainder are sashes
with glazing-bars, stone cills. 2 doors, wooden at left hand, C19 at
right hand, C20. Up 2 steps from pavement. No 40, Clinic has a C19
ex-shop-front with 3 panel window and wooden mullions. Wooden pilaster-
framing with moulded cornice over. Door left of shop window, wooden with
2-lights, C20.
