Two attached shops, premises of J. B. and M. Shaw (Newsagents). Early C19. Brick walls and rendered plinth. Slate roof with stone gable-coping at right hand. Renewed brick stack at left hand. Two storeys and attics. Four windows, two- and three-light wooden casements, rendered lintels and projecting keys. Doors, at left hand, wooden. C20 with panelled reveals. Projecting keystone over. No 23, door to newsagent, with panelled reveals and surround, C20. Attached rear premises, at right-angles down Shadrack Street, rubble walls, slate roof gabled, circular brick stack over eaves. Two storeys, three irregularly spaced windows.
