House of caretaker of the Assembly Rooms (qv). Early C19, with
C20 alteration. Red brick in Flemish bond, with rear of
coursed rubble stone, rendered on ground floor; timber eaves
cornice; corrugated pantile roof with coped gable and shaped
kneeler at right end; brick ridge stack to left. 3-storey
1-window front. Entrance in right return. All windows are
tripartite, with cambered heads and painted stone sills;
12-pane centre sashes on ground and first floors, and squat
6-pane sash on second floor. Brick arches to first- and
second-floor windows. Ashlar first-floor band. Moulded eaves
cornice. Rear: 12-pane sash with stone sill, beneath flat arch
of voussoirs. Right return: 3 storey and attic gable wall.
Door of 6 raised-and-fielded panels beneath tall round-headed
small-pane staircase sash. To right, altered segment-arched
window on ground floor; inserted window on first floor; and
3-light, large-pane sliding sash on second floor.
