8/191 Shutta

- II

Farmhouse, now house. Probably late C17 with later additions and alterations. Roughly
coursed slate-stone and granite, including quoins; slate roof. One storey and
attic. Early C20 casements, one widely spaced to either side of central 4-centred
granite arch with slightly recessed plank door (glazed to top). Similar casements
to gabled half-dormers directly above ground-floor windows and 2 small casements
immediately below eaves to centre and right of centre. Integral end stacks,
left gable end with corbelled cloam oven projection. Short range to rear links
with hip-roofed former farm building, now also forming part of domestic accommodation.
Interior: Inspection not possible at time of resurvey (November 1987) but likely
to be of interest.
