Two houses in row. Mid-late C18. Random rubble limestone, painted
on front elevation; brick chimneys; plain tile roof; replacement
tile to addition to No 16. Two-storey with attic; 2-storey
addition at south end of No 16. Front: 4-window casement
fenestration, all with timber lintels. Doorway at right-hand end
with C20 door to No 14; door to No 16 in extension to left with
C20 upper floor casement over. Four gabled roof dormers; ridge-
mounted gable end chimneys. Rear: scattered casements with timber
lintels. Probably built as weaver's cottages, this explaining the
high ceiling to the upper floor. Forms part of group with Nos 8 to
12.
