Two houses in row. Mid C19. Coursed rubble limestone rendered at
rear; brick chimneys; stone slate roof to No 72, replacemnt tile
to No 70. Two-storey; gabled rear wing across full length of each
house. Front: central break forward and fenestration 1:2:1. Low
pointed ashlar lintels to ground floor casements; plain flat
ashlar lintels to doorways and upper floor casements which are each
under half-gabled dormers. Leaded C19 metal casements to all front
windows; C20 studded to No 70, C19 six-panel door to No 72. Three
ridge-mounted chimneys. Rear: 2 adjoining gabled wings with
chimney stack on each side and at centre between gables. Two-
window C19 sash fenestration to each gable. Various attached lean-
tos are not of special interest. Forms part of group with
Woodmancote Farmhouse and farm building (q.v.). Included for group value.
