Large detached house. Early C18; C19 additions. Coursed rubble
limestone, part random rubble; red brick and rendered stone
chimneys; stone slate and replacement tile roofs. Two-storey with
attic to front block; parallel rear range and wing to form L-plan.
Front: 5-window fenestration all cross-windows with concealed
lintels; C20 metal casements to ground floor, C19 timber casements
to upper floor. Central doorway with C20 glazed door and Regency
wrought-iron porch. Addition to right with hipped roof; plank
garage doors with upper floor cross-window above. Moulded eaves;
chimneys at gable ends of ridge, both in ashlar below rendered top.
End gables: small off-centre attic casement. South end contains
masonry of adjoining cottage, now demolished, and has indications
of raising of roof. Rear wing altered and extended in brick in
late C19 or early C20. Interior not inspected.
