GV II

Terraced houses. c. 1719. Brown brick, slate roofs. 4 storeys
parapeted with copings. Each 3 windows wide. No 47 has good mid
C19 shop front with central window flanked by panelled and glazed
doors in wooden fluted pilaster frame, fascia and moulded cornice.
No 49 has early C19 wooden shop front with Tuscan pilasters
carrying entablature. Upper floors have flush framed sash windows,
no glazing bars, under red brick gauged arches, segmental on 1st
floor, and with red brick dressings. No 49 has 2nd floor sill band.
No 49 retains substantial elements of original panelled interior,
fielded with box cornices on 1st floor, and including cut string
slender turned baluster staircase etc.
