Terrace houses. 1719 with early C19 alterations. Black painted stock brick,
concealed roof. 4 storeys. Each front 2 windows wide. Ground floors retain early C19 timber shop fronts flanked by panelled and glazed shop doors and 6 panel house doors with rectangular fanlights, the display window of No. 51 retaining original large panes with glazing bars, all framed by the slender pilasters carrying entablature-fascias. Upper floors have recessed C19 sashes in exposed frames under segmental red brick arches. No. 53 has stucco plat band to 1st floor; common parapet with coping.
