House with shops. Probably C16, altered. Steeply-pitched slate roof;
closely-studded timber framed and slightly jettied upper floors, with
cill rail to 2nd floor; plaster infill. 3 storeys; 2 windows to each
floor, mid C19 sashes on 1st floor, projecting shop windows with angled
corner to entry set in ashlar. Alleyway entry to left, Tudor-arched with
roses in spandrels and datestone over; angled alley with another Tudor-
arch to rear entry; shop entered from alley. The datestone has the
woolmark of Simon Wisdom and date 1582. Interior: chamfered beam,
probably C16 with stepped stops and massive corbels to 1st floor
fireplace.
