Circa 1840-50 Italianate belvedere tower villa. Stone rubble with dressed quoins.
Tall 3 storey tower with low pyramidal slate roof - 1 window to each face, ashlar
surrounds, round headed on 1st floor. Lower 5 storey tower porch to south end
with crenellated parapet; the rest of 2 storeys, 2 windows. Slightly later gabled
addition to north east with triple round arched 2nd floor window and 2 storey
rectangular tripartite bay window. Dominant hillside position.

In the above entry, the descriptive notes should be amended as follows:

2.
Early C19 origin; enlarged as an Italianate belvedere tower villa of stone rubble
with dressed quoins c.1840-50; but recently given a picturesque castellated roof line
and extended in a sympathetic manner. The former belvedere tower now has a
crenellated parapet and is abutted to the south by the former tower porch which has
been heightened with a crenellated parapet. A modern crenellated 2 storey extension
with crenellated porch adjoins to the west. A 2 storey, 2 window link (with plain
archivolt arched French casements on the ground floor) connects the mid C19 north
tower which was originally gabled, but is now crenellated; 2 storey rectangular bay
window, tripartite lights (round headed on ground floor) and Venetian tripartite
window to 2nd floor. Prominent hillside position.
