GV II
Bath house over chalybeate spring and Dippers Hall. Erected in
early 19th century over foundations over cold bath of c.1702. 2 sets of stone
steps lead to iron and glass covers over chalybeate spring. Central raised
pairing between the 2 covers with elaborate cast iron railings. Above is
a colonnade of 10 cast iron fluted columns with plumed capitals and base
supporting a stuccoed cornice with frieze bearing the legend "The chalybeate
spring discovered c.1606". To the rear is a one storey Dippers Hall with
marginal glazed door and sidelights.
