GV II

Barn and Engine-House. c.C16 or later. Coursed rubble stone walls.
Concrete tile roof with stone gable-coping at left hand end. Large
projecting porch on north side, approximately at centre, with
weatherboarding in the gable. One stone sleeper buttress at left
hand. 2 long loops on the north wall with chamfered edges. East
gable wall has stone steps up to a plank door, (former granary).
Plank stable door at right hand ground. Attached Engine-House at
rear of barn, c.late C18/19. Circular with a conical thatch roof
over lead-light casements. No machinery inside. Interior of barn:
raised jointed-crucks of 8 bays. 2 sets of through-purlins with
replacements. Remains of wind-bracing.
