Circa 1840 possibly embellishment of earlier building. 2 storey stuccoed
front at right angles to road and 3 storey gabled annexe. Stone rubble
to rear. Gable end slate roofs, ornamental bargeboards and fascia, octagonal
chimney pots. 3 window front to 2 storey part: 2-light Gothic casements
with marginal glazing, heavy cast iron flower guards on lst floor. Ground
floor has glazed tent roof verandah, 2 marginal glazed Gothic French windows
anti central door of 6 moulded panels. Annexe has 2-light casements to
front single ones to side, all with marginal Gothic glazing. 2 windows
to road, marginal glazed sashing with hoof moulds. Formerly had rustic
flint garden wall. Typical Sidmouth house.

Gwydir Cottage, Cypress House, Nos 1 and 2 Cypress Place, Milestones and
Town House form a group with Larbi Cote on the opposite side of Station
Road.
