TL 29 NE WHITTLESEY MAYFIELD ROAD,
EASTREA (South Side)

Cottage. 1775 (dated stone). Brick, English bond with reed thatch roof and
symmetrical end stacks. Tumbled end parapets and red brick sawtooth and
dentil eaves cornice. One storey and attic. Two dormers. Red brick
segmental arches to three ground floor windows, including two flush frame hung
sashes of twelve panes with open boxing and arched top panes, and one
three-light, cross-frame casement. Similar arch to doorway with four flush
panels. Above a square panel of Ketton stone, with a roundel and the initials
MB and the date 1775. Interior not seen.
