House, now public house. C16 or C17 with mid C19 casing. Brick with stone dressings, stone slate roof. Two storeys, three gabled bays, the third bay projects. Stone base and quoins; decorative barge boards. Windows have brick flat arches and three-light frames with moulded mullions, those to ground floor with transoms, all lights cusped. Gabled porch has entrance with four-centred head and half-glazed door; small light to right. Right return has projecting lateral stack and two gabled bays with two-storey canted bay windows. Left return has gabled projection.

Interior has substantial remains of timber-framed structure. Cross wall between first and second bays, probably original gable-end. First bay has ovolo moulded beams and posts to both floors. Ground floor room has moulded beams; third bay has fireplace bressumer and later stone fireplace with herring bone brick back. First floor has king post and strut trusses on wallposts; chamfered beam to third bay projection.
