House. C17 with later alterations: datestone reads (1)67? Dressed
stone and brick with slate roof, part with stone slates. 2 storeys,
5 bays, the 4th and 5th bays project under gable. 1st floor of 1st
3 bays of brick. 1st 3 bays have casement windows; 4th and 5th bays
have ovolo-mullion windows with label moulds. Ground floor 6-light
window; 1st floor 2-and 5-light windows; attic 2-light window. Entrance
to 3rd bay, one to 4th bay with label mould raised over datestone;
wide boarded door. Interior has partially exposed cruck truss; chamfered
beams and ovolo moulded fireplace bressummer, one end is supported
on turned post and is open to small bay window to side with panelling
and benches to 3 sides, thought to be court room.
