Early C19. Red brick. Hipped slate roof. 3 storeys and basement. 3 windows,
some earlier C20 glazing to about half sashes, glazing bars missing in lower halves
of all windows. Stuccoed lintels. Semi-circular porch with dentil cornice and
slender Doric pillars.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos 1 and 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter
and St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No
45, High Street is of local interest).
