Circa 1830. Stuccoed, facade now painted dark green, ground floor rusticated with
stringcourse above this. Eaves cornice with fluted brackets. Hipped slate roof.
3 storeys and basement with area. 3 windows, in moulded, shouldered architraves.
Sashes with glazing bars. Doorway up 8 steps with pilasters and pediment on console
brackets. Ground floor extension of 1 window to the north.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos 1 and 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter
and St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No
45, High Street is of local interest).
