Primary school and school house, 1874 on plaque. 2 storeys, asymmetrical form.
Red brick with gault brick and limestone dressings and parapet gables with
limestone kneelers. Plaintiled roofs with shaped and pierced ridge tiles; a
gabled casement dormer with half-timbering. Windows with limestone lintols,
some with gault brick relieving arches; wooden casements. Hood-moulded, gault
brick arched entrance doorways; between them an attached limestone shaft with
leaf-carving; boarded doors with decorative ironwork. A pyramid-roofed turret
rising from above school-room entrance.
