Summerhouse. Early to mid-C19. Wood on rendered brick plinth lined as
ashlar, hipped felted roofs with bracketed overhanging eaves. Cruciform
plan with longer, central wings to the north and south; a mixture of oriental
and Gothic details. One storey with 2-storey central tower. North and
south wings have glazed 2-leaf doors; otherwise the whole of the wall space
between plinth and eaves is occupied by shouldered arch windows, now largely
devoid of glass; the tower has windows of similar character; between the
carved eaves brackets are quatrefoils contining stained glass. Interior.
The north and south wings have wooden side benches with cupboards underneath;
the central space beneath the tower is entered from these 2 wings through
trefoiled ogee arches
