25.5.66 Manor House

GV II*

Late C16 with later additions. Manor House. Coursed rubble. Stone slate
roof with chamfered gable copings and one stone finial. 3 good ashlar stacks
with crenellated copings. Two storeys. Cross-wings to right, gabled to front
and with hipped roof to rear. Continuous small outshut to rear of small fairly
recent addition. The gabled cross-wing to right has 10-light mullioned and
transomed window to ground floor and 5-light window over. Similar windows
to left, beyond which is doorway with arched head. To left is slightly later
2-bay addition with Tudor arched doorway and 12-light and 8-light mullioned
and transomed windows to left of this, both with 5-light window over. All
windows double chamfered. Right elevation has projecting reducing stack.
