Early C19 pair of houses. Painted brick with diagonally set, brick stringcourse
at 1st floor height and below eaves. Slate roof, off centre and end, chimneys,
2 storeys, 3 windows in all, sashes, vertical glazing bars only remain. No 26
has 6 panelled door. Both doors with fanlights and flat hoods above supported on
thin columns. Older wing at right angles to rear.
The 4 street lamps, Church Lane House, its walls and gate piers, Nos l4 to 28(even)
Nos 34 and 36 with its garden wall form a group with the wall opposite Serampore
Place, the walls to No 35 and to the bungalow.
