A timber-framed and plastered house of Cl7 origin. Refronted in the C18 and renovated
in the C20. The front has roughcast in panels. 2 storeys. 5 window range, the
lst storey has 3 light casements with leaded lights and the ground storey has
double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The doorway has a wood doorcase with narrow
panelled pilasters and a dentilled cornice on brackets. Roof tiled, hipped on
the south-west end. (RCHM 5).

Old Post House, Parsonage Cottage and House of Retreat with White Horse Inn,
Cottages immediately North-east of White Horse Inn, St Michaels Cottages, Vale House, The Folly, Rose Cottage, Butlers and House and Mount Stores form
a group.
