Terraced houses. c.1685 with No 39 of early C19 build. Stuccoed brick, slate roofs, except for Nos 42 to 44 which retain tiled roofs. Nos 39 to 42 of four storeys (early C19 heightening) and basement to 39 to 40. Nos 43 to 45 of three storeys, and dormered mansards. No 39 has a two bay front, the rest three bays each. Recessed and nearly flush framed sash windows, with architraves. Square headed doorways to left apart from semicircular arched fanlight doorway to No 39. Plat bands between floors, some with cornices over second floor, parapets with copings. Nos 42 and 44 retain rear closet wings.

Interiors retain portions of original panelling and box cornices, dog leg closed string turned baluster staircases best preserved at Nos 40 and 44; No 45 has early C18 staircase wing.

There is a wall-mounted Windsor gas lantern attached to the front elevation of Number 44, and another to the rear elevation of Number 39.
