Formerly the Bull Public House. A mainly C16 and C17 timber-framed building
which was refronted in the C19 in red brick. The original building had the
typical Ipswich merchant's house layout of the period, an L shaped plan with a
wide range on the front and a wing extending to the rear. The structure of the
front block dates mainly from the C16 but at the east end there are the remains
of mediaeval framing. 2 storeys. 2 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing
bars. The ground storey windows are 3-lignt (with narrow side lights). A
central doorway has a semi-circular arched head. Roof tiled.
