Pair of terrace houses. Early to mid C19, a rebuild or refacing of
C18 structure. Yellow and red bricks, slate roof. 4 storeys. 2 window
wide fronts. Altered mid Cl9 shop fronts with entablatures to ground
floor, that of No 34 projecting from its 3 window return to west.
Upper floors have recessed sashes, no glazing bars, stucco architraves.
Parapets with copings. Part of the Shepherd Market development laid
out c. 1735 and built c. 1746, the builder, designer and promoter
being Edward Shepherd, who built and designed on the Grosvenor and
Cavendish Estates.
