Set of 4 estate cottages for Bisbrooke Hall. Circa 1868. Coursed limestone and
ironstone rubble dressed in a rustic manner; Collyweston slate roofs; decorative
cusped bargeboards with pendants; stone chimneys with pairs of chamfered shafts.
Of rustic vernacular appearance with irregular plan. 1 1/2 storeys, S front of 4
bays, the right gabled and projecting. Small off-set buttresses. Wooden
casements with horizontal glazing bars and Tudor hoodmoulds. left bay has single
light to ground floor and canted bay window in gable end. Other bays have
2-light casements, the gabled right bay with 2 to ground floor. 2 central upper
windows have corbelled sills and are set in gabled semi-dormers. L-plan lean-to
porch shelters 2 doors in angle between right bays; other porches to right side
and rear.
