Pair of estate cottages for Bisbrooke Hall. Dated VEF 1868 on plaque. Coursed
limestone and ironstone rubble dressed in rustic manner; Collyweston slate roofs;
decorative cusped bargeboards with pendants; stone chimneys with pairs of
chamfered shafts. Approximately L-plan building in rustic vernacular style. 1 1/2
storeys. 3-bay S front with right bay gabled and projecting. Small off-set
buttresses. Wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars and Tudor
hoodmoulds. Left bays have 2-light casements, that to centre of upper storey in
gabled semi-dormer. Upper storey of left bay is blind. Gabled right bay has
3-light ground floor casement and 2-light above. Set back to right is a blind
bay with lean-to porch in front angle. Another porch to rear of left bay. Left
gable end has rectangular bay window with hipped roof and 3-light casement in
4-centred stone arch.
