House, formerly Southill Lodge. A pair of cottages belonging to Old Warden Park.
Earlier C18, reworked early C19 in cottage ornée style. Colourwashed roughcast
render over timber frame. Thatched roof, hipped at W end. 4-room plan, one storey
and attics, the rounded room at the W end probably a later addition. 5 elevation:
ground floor has 3 casement windows with pointed-arched heads, attic has 2 eyebrow
dormers with 2-light casements. 2 thatched gabled porches with some trellis work.
C20 glazed doors. One integral stack to E gable end, one ridge stack, both of red
brick. W end has similar pointed-arched windows to ground floor and dormer,
ground floor one flanked by blind pointed arches. C20 lean-to additions to rear.
