Detached house, now home for the retired. Late C18/early C19.
Rendered, hipped slate roof, ashlar stacks. Squarish range with
extension in north west corner, 2 storeys. South front has 3
window bays, central one round-headed with radial top sash, the
rest imitation painted 12-pane sashes. Central recessed doorcase
with plain cemented surround, semi-circular soffit, decorative
radial fanlight, door with 2 glazed and 4 fielded panels, up 3
stone steps. West front has 5 windows, all 12-pane sashes on both
floors. Internal shutters remain.
Interior not accessible but may be of interest. Gatepiers to west
in coursed rubble with dressed stone quoins, layered pyramidal
copings and finial remaining on left hand pier, about 2m total
height.
