Terrace, front garden wall and gatepiers. C.1830. Brick, stuccoed. Roof
concealed. 2 storeys with attic and basement. Monumental composition of 3-bay
recessed centre with fluted composite columns and 2-bay projecting wings with
composite angle pilasters and further recessed entrance bays to each side. No 27
has single-storey entrance bay, two low storeys to No 29. Steps to central
projecting porch with Ionic pilasters, pilastered entrance with moulded archivolt
and keystone containing round-arched double doors. Dentil cornice. To No 27,
4-panel door with overlight in architrave. To No 29, pilastered porch with
cornice linking with No 30 (qv). Recessed 4-panel door and overlight. Centre
bay: sashes under pediments on consoles to ground floor, architraves above.
Side bays: channelled stucco to No 29, 1st floor sill bands. Sashes with margin
lights, some architraves. Dentilled cornice. Attic: centre bay, triple group
of round-arched sashes flanked by similar pairs to each side, separated by
pilasters with consoles below central segmental pediment. To side wings, later
sashes/casements pierce parapet. Stucco garden wall with railings and gatepiers.
