Drinking trough. Circa mid to late C19 reusing circa C16 material, possibly from
demolished chapel of St. James. Granite.
Large rectangular granite trough with runnel to left. Situated adjoining stream which
provides constant supply of water. Reset round granite chamfered arch above.
St. James chapel probably stood to be the east near the Mission Hall. See sketch of
the ruined tower dated 1846 by Sir John Maclean.
