ST 97 SE CALNE WITHOUT OLD ROAD, Derry Hill

GV II

Lodge to Bowood House, early C19, rubble stone with ashlar
dressings, stone slate roof, coped gables and end stacks. Two
storeys and attic, 3-window range to south of 6-pane sashes in
flush stone surrounds. Central door in flush chamfered surround
and C20 timber porch. Flush quoins and raised eaves band. Attic
end wall windows. One west end ground floor 6-pane sash. Rear
wall has ashlar plinth and 2-window range originally of blank
windows, one ground floor 6-pane window inserted and matching 6-
pane window in similar surround added to ground floor centre.
