Cottage. Circa late C17/early C18. Whitewashed and rendered; thatched roof with
plain ridge, hipped at ends ; left end cob stack with brick shaft, truncated right
end stack.
Plan: Single depth plan, formerly 3 rooms wide the left hand room a narrow unheated
service room. The partition between the 2 heated rooms at the right has been
removed giving a 2 room plan.
2 storeys. Attractive 3 window front with regular fenestration and front door to
right of centre with a thatched porch on posts. the house is on a corner site,
slightly set back from the road with a rounded front left corner. Windows mostly
sliding sashes with glazing bars except for one 9-pane fixed window to ground floor
left and a very small 2-light casement with glazing bars, first floor left.
Interior: The fireplace has stone rubble jambs and a re-sited stopped lintel; rough
exposed cross beam. Blocked door on rear wall, right hand fireplace blocked.
