7/188 Dye Cottage

GV II

Cottage. C15 with C20 wing to rear. Timber framed, the main posts only showing,
with coursed sandstone rubble infill, brick quoins to ends. Steeply pitched
hipped roof with end gablets. One storey and attic under a large, flat roofed,
leaded dormer. Oversailing gable to centre and front stack to left. Three framed
bays, one first floor window to right and two mullioned and transomed leaded
casements to left. Pentice roof extension across ground floor right with
weatherboard cladding. Ribbed door and three-light window in extension. Sand-
stone wing at right angles to rear.
