Gatepiers,gates and wing walls.C19.Local grey lias stone,Doulting stone dressings;wrought iron gates.Gate piers square,ashlar,with chamfered plinth and classical moulded cornice type tops with flat step termination;gates have alternate spike and twist spear uprights,with circle decoration to middle rails;still side pieces with sweeps up to piers,then wing walls on a double curve,average one metre high,with shaped coping.Important element in street scene,being located on corner,and in the setting of Sparkford Hall(qv).
