C20 Jacobean style refacing of C16 building. 2 storeys painted brick. Old
tile roof. 4 gables over 1st floor windows, 2 light transomed casements. Frieze
and string between storeys. Large mullioned and transomed window on ground
floor, 3 doors and double doors to passageway. To rear 2 slate hung gables
and timber framed wing.

Nos 51 to 57 (odd) and the Anchor and Hope Public House form a group.
Nos 51, 53 & 55 form a group with Nos 2 to 10 (even) St Edmund's Church Street qv.
